I don't think this racial tension is going to change much.

As long as the black community keeps reinforcing a White Man's lifestyle and tradition of Religion, which was once used against them as an oppressive tool, they will then continue to say, " The Bible Oppressed us, so too can we..."

Bishop Eddie Long and Bernice King, Daughter of MLK, preach hatred of gays from their Black Mega-Churches in Atlanta, they march in Downtown Atlanta against the GLBT community with thousands of their black followers... What exactly does that look like? It looks lik a Racial Injustice... only this time, in reverse...

This is going to only get worse... I've seen it, I've heard it, and even my black gay friends have been targets of it ... It's bad and its hard to fight hate coming from Preachers and Churches, no matter what race they are.

Look only to Jamaica where the Black Rasta- worshipers demand killing gays. Look to Nigeria where Gays are killed or mutilated, as a matter of law...

Anytime you see Religious extremism combined with oppression and poverty you'll find extreme examples of behavior...

I hope this doesn't get worse, I fear it will.

Didn't slaves have a tradition of jumping over a broom? Many of my friends will still incorporate this old tradition into their weddings. I think it would be wonderful if the gay community could come up with a symbol just as simple to signify something so great.

I'm not saying to stop the fight for rights. Why can't we unify under a tradition?
